The Chicago Association of Law Libraries (CALL) has published a new resource for non-lawyers interested in researching Illinois, Finding Illinois Law: A Librarian’s Guide for Non-Lawyers. The guide focuses on sources of Illinois law that are freely available on the Internet and covers useful information for newcomers to legal research including an overview of the United States legal system and the basics of legal citation form. Produced by CALL’s Government Relations Committee, the resource is intended as a guide for the general public in its need “to locate and understand legal information.”
