ALA conference attendees invited to visit UChicago libraries, tour Mansueto

Attendees of the American Library Association’s Midwinter Meeting in Chicago January 30 through February 3 are welcome to visit the University of Chicago’s campus libraries.

American Library Association Midwinter Meeting and Exhibits 2015 logoA tour of the Joe and Rika Mansueto Library will be offered to ALA attendees and their guests on Friday, January 30 at 12:30 p.m. Led by a University of Chicago librarian, the tour includes a behind-the-scenes  demonstration of the robotic cranes that form part of the library’s automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS).  Those interested in attending should gather in the lobby of the Joseph Regenstein Library at 1100 East 57th Street, Chicago, in front of the entry attendant’s desk.
