The Special Collections Research Center will close at 4:45 on November 2 for a special event and will not have extended hours that evening. We will resume normal hours on November 3.
In the 2016-17 academic year, beginning on September 27, Regenstein and Crerar libraries will close at midnight instead of 1 a.m., and Mansueto will close at 11:45 p.m. instead of 12:45 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays. To minimize the impact of this change, the All-Night Study in Regenstein will open an hour earlier, at midnight Sundays through Thursdays.
The Special Collections Research Center’s Saturday hours have been eliminated in favor of extending hours on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings during the academic quarter. Weekly hours are now Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 9 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.; and Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. when classes are in session. This change began on June 21, and data from summer quarter indicate that the Special Collections reading room is hosting twice as many researchers in each extended evening hour as it was during each average Saturday hour over the past year.
