December 2, 2012 marked the 70th anniversary of the first nuclear chain reaction, an event that took place at the University of Chicago on December 2, 1942.  The University’s news office offers this retrospective: “How the First Chain Reaction Changed Science.”  The Library is also pleased to offer a guide to additional information resources and collections, including digitized selections from Enrico Fermi’s papers, photographs from the University’s archives and links to commemorative symposia proceedings and other publications.
