ALA conference attendees invited to visit UChicago libraries, tour Mansueto

Attendees of the American Library Association’s 137th Annual Conference in Chicago are welcome to visit the University of Chicago’s campus libraries from June 26 to July 3.

ALA Conference ChicagoTours of the Joe and Rika Mansueto Library will be offered daily to ALA attendees and their guests from Wednesday June 26 to Wednesday, July 3, excluding Sunday, June 28. Led by a University of Chicago librarian, tours include a behind-the-scenes demonstration of the robotic cranes that form part of the library’s automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS). All Library locations are open during the conference to ALA conference attendees. Please bring your conference badge to gain admittance to the appropriate library. Many libraries have limited summer hours during the conference; please check http://hours.lib.uchicago.edu/ for the latest schedule.
