Joe and Rika Mansueto to match gifts made to the Library through Feb. 25

The University of Chicago is celebrating Giving Day on February 24-25 with a goal to raise $2 million University-wide. As part of this effort, Joe and Rika Mansueto have generously offered to match up to $10,000 of gifts designated to the Library specifically. Gifts of any size received before or on Giving Day will be matched, doubling their impact.

The Mansueto Library Challenge will raise money for the Library’s Annual Fund and will allow us to grow our Residency Program. Your contribution will be a special way to help the Library, to celebrate Joe and Rika as champions of our institution, and to have your support make twice the impact.

You can take the Mansueto Library Challenge in one of three ways:

  • Email Director of Development Yasmin Omer on or before February 25 indicating that you plan to make a gift in response to the Mansueto Library Challenge. You may send in your actual gift later this spring.
  • Make a gift online to the Library Annual Fund on or before February 25. Choose “Library” from the drop-down menu and put a comment in the comment box toward the end of the form stating that the gift is for the Library Annual Fund in recognition of Giving Day.
  • Write a check payable to the University of Chicago Library with a note on the memo line stating that the gift is in recognition of Giving Day. Deliver the check to Yasmin Omer or Melanie Levy in Regenstein Room 180.

All expressions of support and gifts need to be in by February 25 to count toward this challenge. Please contact Yasmin Omer with any questions.
